a green oasis in amsterdam
Designed by UNStudio and HofmanDujardin, the Booking.com project brought together an international team, creating a workplace focused on well-being and connection. MOSS designed the greenery across 65,000 m² of terraces, rooftops, courtyards, and interior workspaces.
A multinational garden
The Multinational Garden is Booking.com’s rooftop landscape that blends 50% native Dutch plants with 50% species reflecting the diverse backgrounds represented by the Booking.com team. The planting strategy for this sections was to curate a selection that responds to microclimates and takes all architectural constraints into account.
11,000 plants
The green layer has over 11,000 plants supporting pollinators and birdlife. All planting was sourced locally in the Netherlands, reducing transport emissions. The greenery plays an active role in the building’s energy efficiency and human wellness, earning its BREEAM Excellent certification.
