MOSS is thrilled to be working with Hoogvliet Beheer B.V. & Kavel Vastgoed on the development of Lincoln Park Centrum! This future-proof city centre will be built to encourage connection and well-being with 180 homes, two supermarkets, shops, catering and two parking hubs. The goal of this project is to create a sustainable neighbourhood with a future-oriented appearance and green living spaces built with circular, bio-based materials and architecture that blends naturally into the environment.

Flat roofs are transformed into green roofs, which will also serve as water retention systems that collect and reuse rainwater to maintain gardens throughout the development, with wadis to facilitate slow infiltration. In tandem with the green facades, these green roofs will strengthen the ecological connection to the main ecological structure, inviting biodiversity into the courtyard spaces.

MOSS is designing the courtyard and outdoor green spaces—four main lots are to be constructed with connection to nature as the utmost priority.

  • Lots 1 and 2 are envisioned as dynamic social gardens, for interaction and a sense of community among residents.
  • Lot 3 is conceived as a verdant oasis, inviting both younger and older generations to engage with nature through play and exploration.
  • In contrast, Lot 5 introduces a shaded garden, offering a serene and introspective retreat within the landscape.

By creating a living courtyard, we aim to establish a space that connects users with nature. The courtyard will link different users and invite them to explore the space, offering both private and semi-private spaces that foster a strong and healthy community within the neighborhood. By ensuring that at least 60% of each courtyard is green, we aim to create a stepping stone for the overall green infrastructure and encourage outdoor social bonding and recreation.
