Conceiving and developing inspiring and sustainable living environments is what drives AM

As a committed area developer, they put social challenges at the heart of their development process. After all, the societal challenges we face are not abstract issues, but concrete questions from people. Working together with public authorities, investors, housing corporations, social organizations, residents and other property users, this results in exceptional and high-quality areas for living, working, shopping and leisure. In this way, AM, part of the Royal Bam Group, provides quality of space and quality of life.

This philosophy also had to be visible in their own office. MOSS was asked to come up with a design for the outdoor terrace where;

• nature would become more visible from the inside
• the connection was made between inside and outside
• motivates personnel to spend more time on the terrace
• create different functions

It was decided to create small ‘squares’ surrounded by greenery. Where possible, as much of the existing materials could be reused.

The different squares offer different destinations: Adult games area (table football, ping-pong, and jeux des boules), lunch/drinks, workplaces, and meeting rooms.

With regard to the landscape, we had to take into account several requirements: Weight, wind and parts that are often in the shade. These are combined with the desire to work with indigenous plants, plants for biodiversity, edible plants, and year-round green plants that together provide a beautiful shrub in both summer and winter.
