Circa Amsterdam sets a new standard as the Netherlands’ first circular event location. The geodetic dome construction of Circa Amsterdam, introduced at the World Expo of Montreal in 1967, is made of all recycled materials, and the same applies to almost the entire interior design.
At Circa, MOSS mission is to provide a unique and beautiful event space while prioritizing environmental sustainability. One of the key ways MOSS achieves this is through commitment to circularity.
MODULARITY
The main atrium of the venue features a green design concept that showcases the benefits of circularity. This immersive and transformative space highlights the Amsta module, a modular series of integrated furniture on planters designed in collaboration with Furnify. The entire system is crafted from recycled materials, minimizing waste and creating a visually striking and sustainable environment for guests. The modules’ color palette and plant selection were chosen to perfectly complement the Circa aesthetic.
GREEN BENEFITS AND CIRCULARITY
MOSS has incorporated plants throughout the venue, emphasizing their positive impact that goes beyond aesthetics. Research shows that the presence of greenery improves air quality, reduces stress levels, and enhances overall occupant satisfaction. By integrating nature into the design, MOSS aims to create an experience that not only delights the senses but also supports the health and well-being of visitors.
MOSS aspires to create a space that promotes well-being, making guests feel connected to nature and fostering a sense of harmony. By embracing sustainability and incorporating natural elements, MOSS strives to provide a unique and enriching experience for everyone who visits the Circa venue.
