Wildgroei is a residential development in Utrecht, Netherlands, designed to harmonize modern living with the natural environment. Situated on the Haarrijnse Plas, this project features sustainable homes nestled in water and greenery. By incorporating green spaces and natural elements throughout, MOSS’s design ensures that each residence benefits from proximity to greenery, water, and fresh air.

A sustainable, ecological integration is essential to preserve the unique ecosystem in the immediate vicinity for future generations. Connected green structures, pathways, water features, space for spontaneous vegetation, and ecological management enhance local biodiversity and create a healthy living environment.

MOSS’s design approach in Wildgroei centers on enhancing residents’ well-being through connection to nature. Modular green installations, vertical gardens, and a community garden maximize greenery, and the use of native plants supports local biodiversity and ensures the sustainability of the development. Functionality and aesthetic were prioitized when achieving this.

Residents of Wildgroei will experience a tranquil and invigorating atmosphere, characterized by the harmonious blend of water and greenery. Green spaces encourage community interaction and provide serene retreats from urban life where residents can meet, rest, play, and more!
