from seed to table in Utrecht
The Green House was developed by Albron and designed by Cepezed. MOSS contributed as Green Architect, integrating an urban farming concept, and indoor and outdoor greenery that connects visitors to urban agriculture creating an immersive, and natural dining space.
the living restaurant experience
The concept emphasizes circularity, transparency, and connection to nature. MOSS’s planting design brings edible plants, herbs, and seasonal greenery into the restaurant, reinforcing the narrative of food production, sustainability, and a direct relationship between growth and consumption.
sustainability as a motivating factor
Sustainability is embedded through circular construction, energy-efficient systems, water reuse, and urban farming. MOSS’s greenery enhances air quality, human comfort, and experience, while the restaurant demonstrates how design can educate, inspire, and foster environmentally responsible behavior in public spaces.
