The B73 project was led by Studio PROTOTYPE and ZENBER Architecten, with MOSS responsible for the green design. Namely the Orangerie, which now has vertical gardens and greenery integrated into furniture, walls, and functional decor.
designing for connection in a vast space
The Orangerie connects two restored pavilions, while the central stair encourages community. This is intended reconcile the building’s historic character with modern needs. Notably, original wooden elements from the Friedhoff pavilion were reused throughout the project, giving new life to historical materials.
creating the ‘Green Lung’
In the Orangerie, greenery improves air quality, acoustics, and thermal comfort. Plants are integrated into walls, cabinetry, and social spaces to enhance well-being and promote pleasant, flexible use.
