Revitalizing Amsterdam Sloterdijk

District West transforms a former industrial area near Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station into a vibrant office and campus environment. MOSS led the biophilic design. The design juxtaposes robust industrial architecture with lush greenery to create a dynamic and welcoming environment.

green trellises supporting the verticality

MOSS’s greenery creates zones for collaboration, focus, and relaxation, integrating interior planters with long wire trellises to support climbing plants that enhance verticality and create a striking visual impact.

Sustainability Rooted in Biophilic Design

District West prioritizes circular practices, biodiversity, and energy efficiency. MOSS’s plantings improve air quality, create microclimates, and improve wellbeing. Combined with recycled materials, sustainable irrigation, and climate-conscious architecture, the project demonstrates how green design can reduce environmental impact while fostering healthier, more resilient workplaces for everyone.
