a green oasis in amsterdam
With exterior architecture designed by UNS and with HofmanDujardin as lead interior architect, the Booking.com project brought together an international team, creating a workplace focused on well-being and connection. MOSS designed the greenery across 65,000 m² of terraces, rooftops, courtyards, and interior workspaces.
a journey through a green world
The interior green offers a nature walk through the building where people continuously pass green. Impressive plants are spread throughout to bring attention to the spaciousness of the building. To contribute to the building’s positive energy, we focused on movement in the planting to help direct people towards cozy environments, with the goal of making the spaces feel like a living room in ones own home.
11,000 plants
The green layer has over 11,000 living plants throughout the building. All planting was sourced locally in the Netherlands, reducing transport emissions. The greenery plays an active role in the building’s energy efficiency and people’s well-being, earning its BREEAM Excellent certification.
a journey throughout the world
12 breakout rooms were designed with all different destinations in mind, varying from Serengeti to Greek Island to Amazon. All breakout rooms had their own look and feel and with that, their own relevant planting schemes.
