a green campus for learning
Located in Almere, Aeres Hogeschool was commissioned by Aeres Hogeschool and designed by BDG Architecten. MOSS contributed as Green Architect, designing planting schemes that bring natural elements indoors and outdoors, creating spaces that support student wellbeing, concentration, and informal interaction throughout the campus.
designing learning spaces that inspire
The vision emphasizes openness, connection, and interaction. MOSS’s greenery complements classrooms, roof terraces, and communal areas, fostering calm, stimulating spaces that encourage creativity and collaboration while seamlessly integrating with the building’s architecture.
sustainability on campus
Sustainability is central to this design, with energy-efficient systems, circular materials, and smart water management integrated throughout the campus. Aeres Hogeschool is the first school in the Netherlands to apply for the Platinum WELL certificate and is the first green school in The Netherlands.
