Revitalizing Amsterdam Sloterdijk
District West transforms a former industrial area near Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station into a vibrant office and campus environment. MOSS led the biophilic design. This design juxtaposes robust industrial architecture with greenery to create a dynamic space.
green trellises supporting the verticality
The integrated green design creates zones for collaboration, focus, and relaxation, integrating interior planters with long wire trellises to support climbing plants that enhance verticality and create a striking visual impact.
Sustainability Rooted in Green Design
At District West, green serves to improve air quality, create microclimates, and improve wellbeing of inhabitants. Combined with recycled materials, eco-conscious irrigation, and climate-conscious architecture, the project demonstrates how green design can reduce environmental impact while contributing to healthier workplaces.
