100 plants in 50m²
MOSS’s work on the interior design of ARUP’s Amsterdam office included enhancing and integrating planters on the work floor, and including a new “green aisle”, where we transformed an entire office wing into an inspiring, nature-inclusive zone. With more than 100 plants in 50 square meters, we brought the outdoors inside, brightening the space whilst also giving it a calm ambience.
the new, immersive ‘Green Aisle’
The Green Aisle aimed to provide a space where employees could relax, gather, find creative inspiration, and engage with clients in a pleasant environment. We used a dense and dark planting scheme to enclose the space and provide a calming effect. We included open and light species to soften the space and introduce the bright qualities of nature. Finally, we included colorful species to add vibrancy.
custom modules developed uniquely for the space
We created a new space by integrating modules, which we developed to satisfy the requirements of movement and flexibility in the building. The modules included water-tight basins characterized by an arc and a right angle, and encompassed a high volume of plants. When configured, the module could be formed into endless arrangements for various needs.
