Guerrilla is one of Europe’s leading game development companies. Since 2000, Guerrilla has been pushing the boundaries for technical and artistic excellence with employees in Amsterdam from more than 30 nationalities.

The office is relocated within a heritage building of 7,290 square meters at the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 225 (Amsterdam), the site of newsprint and journalistic heritage (oude Telegraafgebouw) from the 1930s.

The design team of CBRE was asked to participate in the transformation of this new office and created a unique new home for the Guerrilla employees. This new office features lots of amazing spaces with different characteristics such as the ‘mocap stage’ and sound studios, making it a spacious and dynamic place with lots of green.

Growth, ergonomics, comfort, and connection are key values of the project. For the following areas in the office, MOSS was asked to create a plan for the green design:

1. Masterplan for the entire building

2. Guerrilla Square / City

3. Studio floors / Pantry

4. Restaurant / Green Escape

Taking green inspiration from digital imagery and anime illustration MOSS designed greenery in these spaces to create a futuristic atmosphere and break the boundary between the digital and natural world.

With a clear vision of how the green should be applied, De Koninklijke Ginkelgroep did everything to bring our concepts to life. Together we installed the plants; the space’s value is enormous and with good maintenance done by De Koninklijke Ginkelgroep, the green will flourish even more over time.
